DIY: chic headband
This is super easy and super fun to make! Once you’ve assembled the necessary materials, go over to THIS blog and check out her amazing tutorial on how to turn an old T-shirt into a 5-strand braided headband. (I used a large safety pin to hold my work down as I braided, you’ll want something to secure it so that you can focus on giving it an even tension.)
Now the headband is cute as is, but if you do know how to crochet, whipping up a flower is a really sweet embellishment. I cut the remaining body of the T-shirt into a continuous thin strip (app. 1cm across), and then used a 4mm hook to make the flower. I sewed it over the seam of the headband, so that it appears seamless. Add a button or two for extra charm!
